Purpose:
The purpose of this visitation policy is to ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of
the residents living in our home in accordance with the Agency for Health Care
Administration’s (AHCA) regulations. This policy aims to provide guidelines for visitation
that balance the needs of residents, their families, and the facility's commitment to
maintaining a healthy and secure environment.
Our administrator, Runell Gordon, serves as the designated staff member responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to this policy.

1. General Visitation Guidelines:
1.1. Visitors must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, and any additional
requirements set forth by the facility.
1.2. Visitors must sign in and out at the reception podium upon arrival and departure.
1.3. Visitors must check their temperature for signs of fever as well as answer a brief
questionnaire upon arrival. This requirement is subject to change based on current
public health guidelines.
1.4. Visitors should avoid visiting if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness, such
as fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath.
1.5. Visitors must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including
masks, when required, while in the facility and follow proper hand hygiene protocols.
2. Scheduled Visitation:
2.1. Visitation hours are scheduled between 9am – 9pm but we ask that visitors be
mindful of how long they stay to ensure manageable flow and minimize disruption to
residents and staff.
2.2. Visitors are advised to make an appointment by contacting the facility's designated
visitation coordinator.
2.3. Each resident may be allowed a designated number of visitors per day during peak
community COVID-19 contraction rates, as determined by the facility, to maintain a safe
and controlled environment.
2.4. Visitation duration may be limited based on the number of visitors and available
space.
3. Indoor Visitation:
3.1. Indoor visitation will be permitted in designated areas of the facility that allow for
proper social distancing and adequate ventilation.
3.2. Visitors are advised to adhere to social distancing guidelines and maintain a
distance of at least six feet from residents and staff members.
3.3. The facility may limit the number of visitors allowed per resident during indoor
visitation to ensure compliance with capacity restrictions.
4. Outdoor Visitation:
4.1. Outdoor visitation will be encouraged whenever possible, weather permitting.
4.2. Visitors are advised to follow social distancing guidelines and maintain a distance of
at least six feet from residents and staff members.
4.3. The facility will provide appropriate seating arrangements and shaded areas for the
comfort of visitors and residents.
5. Virtual Visitation:
5.1. The facility will offer virtual visitation options, such as video calls or phone calls, to
residents and their families who are unable to visit in person.
5.2. Virtual visitation can be scheduled through the facility's administrator or designated
visitation coordinator.
6. Enhanced Safety Measures:
6.1. The facility will regularly sanitize and disinfect visitation areas, including seating,
surfaces, and restrooms, following recommended guidelines.
6.2. Visitors must comply with the facility's infection control protocols and any additional
safety measures implemented by the facility.
7. Exceptions:
7.1. In the event of a resident's serious illness, end-of-life care, or other exceptional
circumstances, the facility will work with the resident's family to arrange visitation
accommodations that prioritize the resident's well-being and emotional support.
